Description
This is Level Three of the chess educational program at the World Chess Club Berlin. If you're unsure which level is right for you, we recommend attending one of our free events for a skill level assessment.
What You'll Learn:
- Lesson 1: Introduction to endgame theory, part I (opposition and its importance (key squares); distance effectiveness; attacking pawns);
- Lesson 2: Introduction to endgame theory, part II (salvaging positions - positions that seem lost but could be saved; the Magnus Carlsen style “squeezing water from a stone);
- Lesson 3: How to think like a real chess player (reading the nuisances in a position; activity vs material);
- Lesson 4: Advanced chess concepts (Desperado “Zwischenzug”; winning a tempo; spatial advantage).

- Group Size: Limited to 10 participants

The course is led by AllanMohammad, an experienced chess player with extensive teaching experience. Allan has successfully guided learners of all ages, sharing his passion for the game. A tournament winner, his classical FIDE rating is 1954, and his engaging teaching style ensures you'll enjoy every lesson.

Rules and Regulations:
- Refund Policy: Full refunds are available up to 3 days before the course. Once the course begins, fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the World Chess Club Berlin cancels or reschedules. In such cases, the WCCB reserves the right to determine the refund amount based on the number of lessons attended. Participants who withdraw before the course begins may receive a partial refund, subject to a €40 administrative fee.
- Conduct: Respectful behavior is expected to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Arrival Time: The chess course begins promptly at 19:00. We kindly ask participants to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure they can fully benefit from the instruction and game time.
