This course empowers learners to expand their chess understanding through deeper opening strategies, advanced tactical thinking, endgame, and a structured decision-making process, equipping them for higher levels of play.

This is Level Two of the chess educational program at the World Chess Club Berlin. If you're unsure which level is right for your child, we recommend attending one of our free kids' events for a skill level assessment (January 19th, February 2nd, February 16th, March 2nd)

Objectives: 

1. Introduce the basics of chess in an engaging way, fostering problem - solving, critical thinking, and creativity through fun, hands-on activities.
2. Build confidence and strategic awareness by teaching kids key principles, tactical motifs, and how to visualize moves, setting them up for long-term success in chess.

Over four insightful lessons, we'll delve into the following subjects:

• Lesson 1: Strategic opening ideas 
• Lesson 2: Tactics for the rising stars 
• Lesson 3: The endgame toolkit 
• Lesson 4: The thinking process

Meet Your Instructor:

The course is led by our amazing teacher Radwa Omar. Over the years, she has competed in national tournaments and women’s leagues, consistently securing second and third places. Her classical FIDE ELO is 1771, and she participates this season in the German chess league. Her warm and gentle teaching will help your kids understand chess and light up their passion for the game. The teacher speaks English and German.

Our small class size ensures individualized attention and a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Rules & Regulations:

• Refund Policy: Full refunds are available up to 3 days before the course. Once the course begins, fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the World Chess Club Berlin cancels or reschedules. In such cases, the WCCB reserves the right to determine the refund amount based on the number of lessons attended. Participants who withdraw before the course begins may receive a partial refund, subject to a €40 administrative fee.
• Registration: Participants must register in advance by submitting an online form with their name, contact details, and payment information.
• Attendance: Notify the organizers if a class will be missed.
• Conduct: Respectful behavior towards instructors and peers is required. Disruptive participants may be removed from the course.
